Now, I am not one to bash a man that I do not even know. Like Obama, I will take the high road when speaking about him, …. until I fall off that is.
While Paul Ryan may very well be a great family guy, Christian this, what ever the case may be, he is still just as messed up as any other politician out there (with very few exceptions.)
The reason I wanted to talk about Mr. Ryan is because of a statement he made after being announced as Mitt Romney’s running mate. That statement is:
“Our rights come from nature and God, not from government. That’s who we are. That’s how we built this country. That’s who we are. That’s what made us great. That’s our founding. We promise equal opportunity, not equal outcomes.”
Mr. Ryan is a Catholic from my understanding and me mentions Nature and God in this quote. The part that is most disturbing to me on this is that not only did Paul Ryan write to his constituents touting the so-called “dangers” of marijuana and telling them why he would not vote for it, but he also voted YES on prohibiting needle exchange & medical marijuana in DC. (Oct 1999).
This man, while not as bad as Romney, also forgets how to add up his morals and beliefs. In one hand God is fantastic and we should listen to the Bible for the word of God, etc…. but on the other hand drugs are bad. YES! I am sure that most people in this country will agree that if you create a drug in a lab, it can be very dangerous. This is why the Food and Drug Administration has designed rules that supposedly keep us from getting these bad drugs. But these are just that, DRUGS created in a lab by man.
So Mr. Ryan hates drugs and bigger Government, but wants to limit ones access to a plant. Not a drug, but a plant. Seed, Sun, Water, and Dirt (though some of these are optional.) How can you be Pro-God and yet be Anti-Seed ?
Sounds like Mr. Ryan needs to line up his moral compass a little better or else he will just help bring Romney down with him in November. Not like Romney needs any help. But the policy stances, aside from his marijuana position is not what Americans will really like.
For starters, let us imagine that you owned some shares of the recently public Facebook stock.
